VILLAGE OFF-FRAME is an essay film about the limits of the image. Built around a series of photographs taken by the filmmaker in his home village in South Lebanon between 2008 and 2018, the film revisits them not as documents but as fragile traces whose failures give rise to memory. Through a close reading of this archive, it explores the distance between image, memory, and place.
